Anna Wintour is an ice queen, an ice queen with enough fashion credit to single handedly make or break an entire line, collection or designer. The September Issue is a documentary focusing on the creation of the September 2007 issue of Vogue, which I do in fact own. 800 pages of fashion genious. The mystery surrounding Wintour apparently remains but one thing that remains clear is the creative labour which goes into each issue.

Ad campaigns can make or break a brand, a season, an empire, a line, etc. Clever, witty, beautiful, eye-catching, colourful, whimsical – it all inspires the consumer to buy. These are three ad campaigns which absolutely do the trick. Stella McCartney, always fabulous & on point. Her mother’s influence is saturated in everything she touches. Erin Wasson for Pinko, selling the sexpot perspective. As well as Longchamp, brilliant and faultless with Miss Moss.

Relatively new to the world of fashion/visual merchandising, meaning don’t rip me to shreds. I am confident that this is the industry I belong in and that I would enjoy nothing else. I love the creative control and freedom, the risks and the payoffs. I haven’t worked at BCBG for quite some time, however this is what came of my time there. A definite push into this facet of fashion and a newfound love for it. I am currently working for a boutique branded retailer, heading their merchandising.

Kate Moss is a goddess. Some may disagree, particularly following her coke scandal and the lesser known fact that shes smokes weed in front of her child. Antics aside, she can take a photograph. An awe-inspiring photograph which summons your purchasing desires. Here she is debuting her TopShop fall collection. According to refinery, this combination is equivalent to peanut butter & jelly or Spock & Captain Kirk. I have no rebuttals.

One person’s anathema is another person’s delight. And amongst the fashion elite, the latter is often a vertiginous stacked heel; superfluous buckles, studs, and embellishment only sweeten the deal. Because the fashion editor is a rare bred of woman who not only welcomes the peril of a towering pair of stilettos, but relishes it, her inflamed, lacerated feet serving as a badge of honor. Likewise, a slip, here or there, is no longer a sign of poor technique, but rather incisive selection. Despite being completely over the boho-chic headband look (minus Nicole Richie’s House of Harlowe headbands) I adore this one. It has protruding studs on it, who would have thought? I love studs, I love the juxtaposition of studs combined with something light & feminine. In other news, love this little piece of leg jewellery. I mean I wouldn’t wear it but it’s pretty hot.

I can’t even deal. Fall is so strong this year, its unreeeeal. Thigh high boots are causing me to salivate left, right & centre. Black, I love black, I live for black. Fall delivery has officially arrived. It has been springing up everywhere, from ads to actual in-store placement. Here is a preview of Topshop’s fall line and it is truly to die for. Of course it is a total rip straight off the runways but it is absolutely irresistable at their decent pricepoint. We have Balmain inspired sequins, Dolce’s large furry coats & stellar thigh high boots!
